I have just read John Britt's article on cone 6 reduction firing
and am pumped to get my gas kiln going.
Ceramics Monthly, "Mid Range Reduction,"

Erik and Luba from Mudfire have done some amazing things with
cone 6 reduction. Not just amazing, gorgeous and inspiring.

There is a photo of a bowl Erik did with a version of Malcom Davis carbon
trap shino that is yummy.

Kudos to Mudfire for sharing their work and recipes.

It was an inspiring article, and thank you once again John! and now
I'm thinking I have to build some large saggars and try to reduce in
my pristine electrical Scutty baby but I'm wondering just WHAT I
could stick in a saggar to make it ignite at just the right time for
reduction...or, really,if anything does. I don't want to wood fire,
per se. I wonder if anyone knows if this can be done?
Gee, now I feel lazy and guilty because I didn't explore google for
'saggars' and 'electric reduction ' or something.
But seriously, if anyone has an info source I 'd love to check it out.
Thanks for your thoughts-
