Here's the floating blue I have used. To those of you that asked me questio=
ns off-list, I'll try and answer them here-since others might find the answ=
ers useful as well. At first I thought=A0I probably gave a "dumb answer" an=
d that the colemenite is in the frit- however it all works out in the unity=
formulas- I've never taken that on- I just try out recipes and adjust colo=
rants keeping the guidelines in mind.=20

I actually get a floating green out of this glaze most of the time and I ha=
ven't used it lately- but it's still very nice- as for its qualities of bre=
aking over texture. I use a=A0medium dark brown cone 6 clay body- and I don=
't control the kiln's cool down- I think that's why it is more brown-breaki=
ng green than brown breaking blue.=A0 I have at least 6 glazes that are tex=
tured blues right now- which is why I haven't used this one very much. I'm =
switching to a buff clay body for some of my work and I think I'll use it a=
gain then.
