a tool kit for every tool.

The other day I posted--either on Clayart OR potterybasics--something I
repeat here to both.
Get a complete tool kit for every "machine" you have in the studio.

Among the weapons in The Great Raccoon War are hex-headed screws named
"Roofing Screws". There is dear little driver, like a small socket, that
one puts in one's drill, and it holds the screw and drives it in. Ok?

Now these screws come in different lengths. And one would think the geniuses
who make them would have the hex heads all the same size. But oh no! Yest.
I wanted to change from 1 1/2 inch to 2 inch screws--and found that the 2"
had a bigger head... (Yes, same brand! I said they were geniuses!) Tried to
raid Mr K's tool box--he did not have the right one either. Off to store,
etc.

What with this size and that size, hard to reach places that need longer
tools, different screw type, metric as well as normal etc, prepare a tool
kit for every machine. No, you do not need a separate electric drill of
like that. But screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers....Saves tons of time, and
miles of nerves.
