glazing textured pieces?

I have a number of vases that are heavily textured. Any comments, do's or
don'ts on glazing vertical textured pieces?

i always say MAKE MORE!=A0 =0Aon textured pieces i like=A0usually ONE glaze=
=A0all over with a glaze character that breaks over edges to change color o=
f the glaze.=A0 thick or thin=A0glaze zones.=A0 too many colors on top of t=
oo many textures (such a thing?!?!?) can be pretty busy to the eye.=A0 =0Al=
ately i'm using=A0a barium-bone ash glaze from laguna clay; a rutile based =
glaze (jensen red &/or jensen blue) and am=A0starting to use=A0two called "=
honey luster" (manganese dioxide seems to be key) =A0and "binn's green" (ru=
tile-copper carbonate mix).=A0 =0Atexture is great for raku glazes!=A0 =0Aa=
lso, sometimes i fight the urge to glaze at all and just fire the pots nake=
d using the claybody & the texture for the piece color & imagery.=A0 =0Asee=
