Hi Claybuds!

I finally received my new slabroller so it is time to pass my old one to somebody else. I have a 36" Brent (SR36) Slabroller. It has been modified with the addition of an electric motor so it is powered instead of hand operated - no wagon wheel - you just move a switch. I routinely place 25 lbs of clay onto the table and flatten it to 1/4" with one cycle.

The mounted canvas has all been recently replaced and I will include a couple more canvas sheets. I also added a number of support boards to fill the bottom of the table - gave me much less flexing and a more even slab thickness.

This machine is used (obviously) and does have all the expected wear marks, scratches, etc. that proves it has been used. It is NOT a showroom item, it IS and has been a workhorse. It was well used when I bought it used 14 months ago to develop a new line of products and it has worked great. The electric motor conversion could benefit from a few guards for safety but I just keep out of the moving parts.

I am replacing it only because I received a grant for our studio workshop series and had to use it for replacement equipment. It is also a little taller than is comfortable for me from my wheelchair - the new one is adapted to my height. This has many, many years of life left in it.

If you are serious about it, the price is about 1/4 of the new retail price $700 - you arrange shipping or pickup here in central Illinois. We can help disassemble and load it but you need to know it is very heavy 700 lbs total. The single most heavy part is around 300 lbs. Truck or trailer will be needed - not a car or mini-van. Call me at 309-241-2950 or the studio at 309-968-7687.

Hi Gang,

Oops! I forgot to put the address in - it is located at my studio in Manito
Illinois. About 20 miles south of Peoria or 40 miles north of Springfield.
Manito is a little bigger than the well known home of that Maydelle Tx.
potter we all admire, but not too much bigger. If you come by just look for
the water tower, we are the owners of the old time train depot next door.
