I was able to see the "Generations: Ken Shores" show at the Museum of
Contemporary Craft in Portland, Oregon. The museum is at 8th and Davis in
NW Portland. A previously industrial area now going very yuppie. If you
know Portland, Powell's Book Store is at 11th and Burnside, and the museum
is only 5 or 6 blocks from there.

Show included a plate Ken made in 1945, pieces made at Pond Farm,
Guerneville, California, pieces from his Masters at UofO, Owls from his
studio potter days, and pieces from his days as arts professor at Lewis and
Clark. His most recent feather fetish pieces are in the show as well as
pieces by his friends, mentors and students.

I highly recommend the show to any of you headed in that direction before
July 23rd, the day the show closes.
