just in case:

1234
from leach
fels 4 lbs or scoop measure (i use a deli container)
silica 3
whiting 2
china 1
washes in between layers are very nice.
iron, ochre, cobalt...anything.
it is a good top glaze as a clear.
iron at 3 percent will give the green/blue etc.
(if you are getting a nice army green, you probably have
too much iron.)
5 percent iron should give a nice deep honey.

nigel woods sung idea:

fels 5.5 pounds
wollastinite 6 lbs
china 2.8 lbs
ball 2.8 lbs
silica 4.4 lbs
talc. .7 lb

you can do the math backwards to get percentage.
i cannot find my book, so i think someone got a loan
and did not bring it back. will keep looking.
