If you are going to use a blet sander, try getting a pack of silicone
carbide belts for it. The ones you'll find in the local hardware store are
fine for wood, but anything really hard will wear them out quickly.
I got mine at an industrial supply place (in Canada). I would try an
automotive industry supply place like NAPA.
