for those of you who do naked raku

I'm trying really hard to avoid making my own slip. To use the
university's equipment, I have to climb on a stool and then lift mass
quantities of stuff over my head hoping it falls into the slip maker
and not on my head. I could also do without falling off the stool and
breaking a leg.

To that end, I'm going to be buying slip. I have a choice of high fire
slip or low fire slip. Which is better for naked raku? I have a choice
of white slip and red slip. When doing naked raku, is there a
difference between using the red and using the white? Yes, I know there
are recipes specially designed for naked raku. What's the difference
between using the special recipes and using commercial slip?

Many thanks.
