Need help! I have a chance to purchase a used Paragon DTC 1000 kiln (2-
phase digital programming ??). The owner doesn't know a fair price. Her
mother passed away and she has no idea on what to sell it for. It is
about 4 years old and has been used very little. The kiln has a lite lift
on it and I believe it is a 8 sided (or 10) top load. Any ideas what I
should offer her for it?
She is a dear friend and I want to offer a fair price. I noticed in a
classified that there is a DTC 1000 for $500. It is 6 years old. Is that
a low price or average?

The kiln has a Bartlett controller. Since the kiln has a
LiteLid, it is either 10- or 12-sided. You didn't give the
kiln model number, though. DTC 1000 is the controller model.

Paragon DTC 1000 / 2 phase digital programming - it is a 10-sided
kiln. I also received 9 (1/2 kiln shelves) and approx. 40 posts of
various sizes. She ended up selling all of it to me for $800.00 (the
price she decided to sell it for). All in all, I think I got a great
deal. I will have it this weekend.
I am looking forward to the first firing.
