Hello,

There is a silicone product, shown in the attached link, that claims to be
safe for skin application. It then gets a coating of limb casting plaster
bandages for support. It should capture the excellent detail without less
risk of burns and adhered plaster. There are probably many others. I
expect it is more expensive that just using plaster but the risk of damage
to sensitive parts would seem significantly reduced. Also, it is applied in
stages, allowing on to stop at anytime if problems arise. Making a full
scale plaster mold in one piece at one time seem fraught with possibility,
many of them bad.

Slower is always better.

the website has a video of giggling during body mold making. How bad could
it be?

Indeed. These silicones are top of the line life casting materials.

Unfortunately, they use a platinum catalyst. I can't imagine the cost of
forming an entire torso from these materials. Even Pink House Studios, which
sells the same sort of stuff, uses the silicones only for specific areas.
The silicone is usually for reserved for areas of high detail, ease of
removal, or both, such as for doing the hands. The rest of the mold is done
with conventional Gypsona bandages, followed up with reinforcing sticks and
more bandages. Pink House Studios also sells videos that detail the whole
process.
