Yes, yes! Two sources:

1. Dogwood Pottery Supply in Texas
2. Texas Terra Ceramic Supply, who sells on Ebay and that's where I got =
mine. =20

I got I think 8 from this guy, and they were very well packed and =
shipped promptly.

i almost bought some 12.5" disc setters from Bailey but they really gouge
on the shipping beyond any reasonable amount - they were going to charge
$50 per box of 5 for shipping and handling so i backed out at the last
minute. If i gouged that hard on shipping with my wholesale pottery
business i would be looking for a job right now!
I just might have to pay that price eventually but for now i am looking
around for another source. Does anyone know where else to get the flat
disc setters for plates?
thanks,
paul

a google search led me to an old post in clayart which lead me to
highwater clays website, which led me to a picture of some kiln furniture
that showed exactly what i wanted so i called them. The disc plate setters
they sell are $1 less and 1/2" smaller but work fine for me so i asked how
much it would cost to ship 10 of them - the same amount bailey wanted $100
to ship. The lady was like, "well i think it would be $16 total for
shipping but i can't promise it would be exactly that much - it might
actually be $17 or even $18 once we get the shipment processed...."

easy choice for me to make...

Paul;
The company may not be gouging you. Have you looked up how much it would
cost to ship the objects on your US mail website? I think you will be
surprised at how expensive it can get to mail something.

Paul --

Plate setters weigh a ton -- hence the high shipping
charges. Some things it's best to buy locally. Where
are you? Is there a local clay shop of some kind?

Dear Paul,

When Bailey packs for shipping, they pack the product to get to us in one
piece.

Also, we had better look hard at our shipping costs. Neither Bailey nor we
small businesses can absorb these rising costs.

Bailey always gets my bet.
