Kelly, give Bernie at Venco a call. He will be happy to help you.
It is a wonderful company and your right there where they make their
products.

At least you'll understand when he starts going on about timbers
and spanners. Made my head spin.

Hello all, One of the electric wheels at my pottery club has a problem
that I'm hoping that will be simple and inexpensive (if not free and do-
able by me) to fix. When pressure is put on the pedal to get started, it
starts, but then immediately makes a terrible grinding noise, which passes
as you increase the speed. Slowing down it doesn't make the noise at all,
only on speeding up. I tried greasing the drive shaft, but it seems to
have gotten worse, so that it actually gets stuck on that slow speed and
alot of pressure has to be applied to get past that, upon which it takes
off in a great hurry. Obviously it is not usable in this state. It's a
Venco wheel, I have no idea of the age, but here in Australia is very
common, and used often in schools. I guess I could give Venco a call, but
thought I'd try here first in case its something very plain and simple.

Thanks for any advice.

Kelly

When I had a problem with my Venco wheel, I rang Venco in Perth,
spoke to the owner who was most helpful and talked me through the problem.
Ended up being worn grommets which are easily replaced at a cost of less
than $2 each.

Good luck
