Sue, get yourself a 50lb bag of EPK or fireclay and keep it under the =

into the clay mass, and filling them, or partly filling them, with dry =

The clay that was spinning was largely reclaim that was pretty wet. =
By adding some stiffer clay & letting it mix awhile, it cured the =
spinnies.

I can buy my clay body in dry form and sometimes add the dry
to "too wet" recycle clay. It is also how I make my slips. I use
superwhite straight for white and add oxides for color. It has the
same shrinkage as my fireclay stoneware.
