Interesting business model they have there. Take a relatively small niche
market and anger them by doing something universally regarded as negative.
I wonder if any on the list is affiliated with the company and could bring
the up to them.

Hi,

Based on a question or two we felt we needed to address this forum.
MiracleBat is a product and has been developed over several years. Emails
have recently been sent to introduce and give a money-off coupon for the
product. It came to our attention that 2 had been sent out at the same time.
This was because one had a bad link and it was thought that this would have
cleared-up an error that people would get if they went to the bad link.

Thanks for understanding,

John A.

Ok, question 1 answered.

Question 2 - where did you get this mailing list? I want
to make sure I'm off their list, too.

Hello,

Miracle Bat has been in development over the course of several years. There
are a number of different contacts through the years that have been made.
People have indicated that they were interested through those years and gave
us their information through a variety of different people, There are also
links on our page for recommending people that would be interested and for
signing up to subscribe. If you are unhappy and wish to unsubscribe please
do so and we won't send you any more money-off coupons. - John

Interesting. We didn't ask for the spam but are told we can "unsubscribe".
Since apparently most didn't subscribe in the first place why should we have
to. I also want to point out to the group at large that if you unsubscribe
that can be noted as an active email address and sold as such to the next
batch of people wanting to promote their product via spam. It is a catch 22.
To not get spammer A's spam you unsubscribe from their list only to have
your email address sold to the next spammer as an email address that is
known to be active. Are you getting this John? I think you have successfully
ticked off a large group of the only people who would have an interest or
use for your product. I don't have an MBA but that doesn't sound like smart
business to me.

I like to try new tools - I admit it, I'm a real tool junkie and buy most of
them to try out - but guess which tools I won't be trying - EVER!

I get 100-200 spam emails a day and even with filters set up you still have
to check through them. One man's advertising is another man's spam but I
decided a long time ago that I don't do business with people who send
unsolicited emails and steal my valuable time. Even his disclaimers are
spam - give us a break.
