idea on how to photo plates

Over dinner last night I told my husband of this delima and he thought of
a great idea.

We recently had a new windshield put in our SUV and they used
these 'handles" that they placed on the glass, then pressed a button, and
sucked all the air out of the suction cups, picked it up by the handles
and moved it.

Ok, so you buy one of these doohickiey (as you can probably tell, I don't
know the name of this thing), place it horizantialy on the plate, get the
air out of the suction cups, and then place the plate with handle on books
or whatever, and there you have it....... a 'floating' plate.

I'm sure once we know the name of this tool we can buy one, but I thought
it was a good idea.

Hope this helps!

You all don't need a special device to suspend the plate. If you know how
to properly light your piece, this effect can easily be achieved in the EZ
Cube.
