self-serving angst/back to work

I swear I didn't send my little SSA (self-serving angst, of course) to Clayart
in order to generate the slew of caring posts I received in turn. I really
didn't, especially since my major point was that the SSA has passed; I
think I recognize why it happened and why it passed...............
and all truly
is well, very well.

Thank you though for the loving posts of commiseration you winged my way,
and the offers to stay in contact via phone or e-mail. Thank you also for
the peek into your own ups&downs and how you handle them.

Oddly enough, I spent part of the day (when I wasn't cooking, which was fun;
haven't done that in too long. I just cooked and didn't worry about who would
eat it or when; the cooking was the point) ...... anyway, a big chunk
of day was spent
watching Deepak Chopra interact with Mike Meyers on the Sundance
channel on my favorite program, "Iconoclasts) ............ and........ haven't
watched so much television in ever......... an independent film which was
Vince Vaughn's intro to stardom, "Swingers". Funny! Especially if one has
lived in "The Valley" in L.A. Maybe a half dozen
friends came&went, stopping to snack on a huge turkey dinner.... (talk about
excess!!! )......... with requests that I replay some of the Chopra/Meyers
discussion. My pleasure.

We finished loading my new glazes....... cone 10/11....... with which I've been
experimenting/firing for sometime. I'll likely fire Thursday, Santa
Ana's (major
winds) permitting. Can't wait... so I can get on with my other
eleventeen glazes.
Some are re-visits to glazes I used a lot when I began this (pause)
what else......
journey..... with small changes made via John Britt's incredibly
helpful Cone 10
glaze book.

Joyce
In the Mojave desert of California with Mojo barking at every passing
rabbit, even
the roadrunner, much less the horseback riders daring, DARING, to come down our
dirt road......... and a call waiting from my smallest great-grandson. He
didn't talk at all for two years with one lone exception....... to
say "ready" just
before he jumped on top of anybody foolish enough to lie on the floor. Now, of
course, he doesn't EVER hush.... built up quite a vocabularly during those two
years of listening ........... the new baby does the same, but we're onto that
system now so nobody worries about her. She's all of six months ....... what
a joyful group..............
