new year's firing

updated fri 28 dec 07

Does anybody plan to participate in firing the New Year in, as we did
the year 2000? As I recall we kept in touch via computer and in some
cases cell phones, sending photos also.

I don't want to organize it.... and am not trying to start anything...... but
if there is such a plan and you have room for one more, I'd like very
much to be a participant.

Thank you, you great buds. I'm feeling very affectionate toward all of
you today. I spend weeks dreading these holidays, a time when (as do many
of you) I have significantly sad memories for practically every day
from Thanksgiving
on through Jan. 15. I'm finally, thank God, recognizing a pattern. It's
dreading the dreading itself that sends me spiraling a bit. When today
and tomorrow arrive, I'm getting over it and actually enjoy these days....
"enjoy" as in feeling JOY.

Too bad it takes so long to recognize basic
truths about ourselves ...... for me, at least, it's not often the
actions/words of
others that make me sad. As most of you already have learned, I'm sure,
it's how I CHOOSE to incorporate those actions/words into my life at that
moment that steals from my strength of purpose, makes me angry and too often
lash out at whoever happens to cross my stinkin' path. In fact, I
fear that I'm inside
there somewhere lurking and eavesdropping just WAITING for something
BAD to happen so I can react and send myself on a downward slope....
taking with me anybody who is unfortunate enough to be nearby.

Off topic? Yes.

much love and affection....... and sorrow for any buds my nastier
self might have
hurt this year.
