I appreciate John Sankey's reference to the potterybasics.com website I've
been building and the glaze database. John has also provided a lot of great
feedback which has helped me debug the program. I also think that Alisa and
John are doing a fantastic job on compiling their database.
I made some changes to make the glaze database more prominent on the front
page of potterybasics.com, and the recipes can now be accessed without
registering. I do require registration for the posting or commenting on
glaze recipes (only post recipes in the public domain, please), and for
posting other content on the site including book and video reviews, events
(workshops, calendars, etc.), informational and tutorial articles (in the
Tips & Techniques section) and web links. The registration is just for
security to avoid spam and other invalid content. Information entered for
the registration is not publicly viewable and will not be sold, distributed
or used for solicitation.
I encourage any of you who are teaching workshops or classes to post your
events, and also encourage the posting of articles or reviews of books and
videos that are yours or that you enjoyed. You are welcome to post links to
your own websites for sales, etc.
