updated thu 11 oct 07

Nancy on tue 9 oct 07

I mixed a test batch of this glaze and loved it but now I mixed up a new
20lb batch and it's not at all right. It is coming out very very very
dark blue to black.

Here is what I used:

37 Frit 3134 7lb 6.4 ounce
16 Kona F-4 feldspar 3lb 3.2 ounce
4 Strontium carbonate 12.8 ounce
26 EPK 5lb 3.2 ounce
17 Silica 3lb 6.4 ounce
2.5 Cobalt carbonate 8 ounce
4.5 Rutile 14.4 ounce

Can you help me fix this glaze to be the nice blue/green it is meant to be?

Hi Nancy

Are you still using the same clay body?
I find it goes blue/green on white; and breaks black on dark clay.
If you are using a dark body, try applying thicker to get the
blue/green colour.
