Hi Everyone,

The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen has a Brent Model J Kickwheel for
sale. New this wheel lists at $1449 and seems to be offered by
various pottery supply dealers from $749-$1304-- quite a large range.
This is a real kick wheel--it is not motorized. The frame is rusty
and needs a good wire brushing and repainting, but the wheel turn
easily and, operationally, seems to be in excellent condition. I sat
on it today and wished I were 20 years younger or it would be mine! I
learned on a kickwheel and still think they are the best wheel for a
young potter.

A photo of it can be seen at

The wheel must be picked up and you need to bring two strong people--
its listed weight is about 300 lbs. and you will have to get it into
your vehicle yourself.

Asking price is $350--what a bargain! If you are interested call
Barb, Nick, or Sherrie at 215-579-5997.

And, by the way, if you are in the vicinity, the Guild Fall Tyler
Craft Fair is this weekend (Oct 19-21) at Tyler State Park, Richboro,
Pa (which is where the wheel is also). Over 130 of Pennsylvania's
finest craftsmen will be showing their work. For more information go
to pacrafts.org
