I replied to Kelly in Ohio off list. Then I realized that many of us
are no longer kids and perhaps I should have shared the advice with the
list.

I suggested Kelly get a good book and take a long soak in a tub full of
hot water and a good paper cup full of epsom salts. The epsom salts
will draw the excess fluid out of the Art Injuries. I also discovered
that once stitches can get wet, the epsom salt soak keeps the stitches
from itching and promotes healing.

Nothing like a good soak with epsom salts after an afternoon at the
wheel and after lugging clay from the car to the studio and back to the
car. Here's to healthy playing with the mud.
