Wally, you know that's not fair. Since I belong to the
MFC, I can't enter anything sponsored by BFG.
There is a long-standing feud between them. Also,
the local NAK and PPR are opposed to people
who are members of the GNC getting involved with
LLCR functions. You should be more thoughtful
regarding the problems of the OTM, not to mention
the PUG.

Mel that sounds like a happening show, I live out of the tri-county area so
I will use the number you provided; however I have some friends in the
tri-county area and they will need the local number. I'm so glad that we
have had a foreign exchange student from Korea!!! I'll have to pull out my
handy dandy translator guide in order to speak with the lady that answers.
I had a reaction to medicine last night, and can hardly talk, so I won't be
able to speak real loud. Fantastic news, just pop one county over and
there's the big tri-county show. Wheeeeeeeeeeeew Doggies!!! LOL

In Christ,

Ava

Linda,

I think that is the point!

Clayart folk need to speak English, and stop this nonsense of all these
cryptic acronyms. Nobody knows what the bloody HE Double Toothpicks
anyone is talking about.

Hi Steve,

Huh...

Used to be around here, the 'Low-Level Contact Resistance' center, aka 'the
local electrical conductivity testing center' was the 'Scientology'
Center...and ( everyone standing up all smiles and so on, glad anyone
stopped in at all, ) they'd have you hold those two plain Tomatoe Paste
Sized
Tinned-Cans with the wires on 'em and ask you about this or that and then
they'd say
"Uhhh-huhhhh...Mmmmm....Hmmmmm...Uhhhhh-huhhh..." and so on, as they watched
the Needle on the
Dial only they could see.

The two times I tried this, was right after I had moved here in 1978, they
ended up saying I had a "Hopelessly
Midievil Mind...", seemed mildly annoyed or 'energy dumpy' that I did, and
were glad to see me head back out the door, even though I had been entirely
ingenuous, positive, open and friendly with their questions.

My high-school 'Councellor' had said exactly the same thing, too, after some
protracted interview and him squinting all the while at IMB Card results
from some 'Occupational Aptitude Test' thing, and then
he got withdrawn and somewhat pensive/sullen about it too, right after he
said it, and you could tell the energy had dumped far as his interest, so I
just quietly headed back out that
door...too.

I never knew what either of them meant, since they refused to elaborate
when I asked them...but it impressed me that they seemed to know what they
meant, and, that for them, it had such serious meaning..

Oh well...

Otherwise, far as this "tri/county show" thing went, I was tempted to
uiry -

WTF is the BFD with BFG an' the LGC anyway..?

I thought the 'Big Friendly Giant' sold canned 'Nibblets Corn' and ' Baby
LeSeur Peas' and stubby Julie-Anne Cut 'String
Beans'???

Or, was that the ( In-the-Valley-of-the-Jolly, "Ho-Ho-Ho!" ) "Green Giant"?

I get confused...

Anyway...

Rambley,

Yours,

Phil

Linda --

As those of us who read to our children know, the BFG is the
Big Friendly Giant. LGC is a Local Government Council, and
LLCR is Low-Level Contact Resistance -- a measure of electrical
connection adequacy.

So what Mel's telling you is the Big Friendly Giant is
sponsoring a show, your Local Government Council is
providing the prize, and you can apply at any
local electrical conductivity testing center.

That is, if you can shout loudly enough to be understood
by someone listening in Korean. Kamsahamnida!

Ya know, Steve, I don't mind that Mel uses obscure TLAs (three-letter
acronyms). BFD! But what gets me is he didn't include a date in his
announcement.

"Do as I say, not as I do," right Mr. Mayor?
