Angela,
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about the cluttered studio in my blog.
Cluttered doesn't mean that you're not organized.... In your head.
Now, I know that some people can't concentrate with clutter bugging
them. So, if that's the case, clean and sort away. I just have to
SEE everything.

Besides which, my clutter serves as a physical index of work I want
to repeat. Hank is right.

Now, don't get me wrong, I really do clean up my
studio--sporadically--but that's just because my Muse, handsome dog
that he is, has left the building. Otherwise, I would begrudge every
moment spent organizing and cleaning when I could be working.

As to selling Racers: Keep them! I mean, what are you going to do
when the Renwick asks you to put together your retrospective?!

I regret selling a square teapot that was a step in the ongoing
development of that particular meditation. Don't even have a slide or
a photo of it. Artists move on, hopefully, but sometimes it's good to
know where you've been. It's okay to be that kind of packrat.
