I don't have gas fire knowledge but have access to a gas kiln that I can
use for soda firing. I have wanted to fire this way since a Julia Galloway
workshop som eyears ago. Other than the handling of the soda, is it pretty
much a typical gas fire to cone 6? Does anyone have any tips? I know you
can spray the soda in, better if you can spary in firebox as opposed to
directly on ware (I am not wanting the orange peely effect but love the
flashing). Any workshops coming up in northern calif on the subject?

My other question is that I want to create scultptural vessels using
molds. There looks to be a great moldmaking workshop being put on by the
pOtters Council but it is in Virginia in Pctober for a couole of days.
Does anyone know of a class or workshop that is more in depth than the
basic 2 part mold in Northrn California?

Just gettting back to clay
