Hey Gang ,
I don't want to try to sell anyone on a workshop at La Meridiana but if you're even dreaming about going to one of (if not the most) beautiful places in the world then let me give you a little nudge in the decision process. GO !!!!!!!
Move heaven & clay to make it possible, you won't regret it ! Lucia cooks like a dream ! Claudia is .. boy , how can I even begin to tell you how fantastic she is in a short post. She took care of us all in so many ways it boggles the mind to even think about it !!!!! ( If you do go take her a big jar of Skippy regular peanut butter for her son her smile will keep you going the whole workshop ;oD )
Pietro is the warmest, hardest working host anyone could ask for. Start him talking about the history of the region, the people ,the art ,the food , wine it didn't;t matter what . I won't say he knew everything but he answered all our questions as far as I know.

Feel free to drop me a line anytime you want to hear more.
Sure wish I could go with both Marcia & Malcom I would in a heartbeat!

For all you Carbontrappers out there, this is just to let you know that there
is indeed Soot in Tuscany and we trapped quite a bit of it last May at La
Meridiana in Tuscany.

We liked it so much that we're going back to trap some more in the fall of
2008. If you are interested in a wonderful two weeks in the Tuscan hills while
the olives and grapes are being harvested, sign up!

The dates are September 28 - October 11, 2008.
The place is La Meridiana, the studio and workshop of Pietro Maddalena.
Claudia, the Administrator, and Lucia, the Cook, make the experience
Memorable.
The studio, facilities and setting are exceptional.
The program is a balance of a lot of work, three firings, and outings to
Florence, Sienna, San Gimignano, Voltera, Certaldo Alta.
And there will be more: Wine Tastings, Chocolate Tastings, Olive Oil Tastings
and Pizza like nothing you've ever had before.

Sign up now; the class is filling quickly. First deposit will be due in
February, 2008.

Email Claudia to get on the list and she will send you a copy of the
tentative schedule and other information: claudia@lameridiana.fi.it

I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have.
