I have a glass kiln with elements in the top. It is only 8 inches
deep. My problem is I want to use it for some clay tile work I am doing
now, and have no idea of firing schedules or even if it is possible in
this kiln since elements are in the top, not bottom or sides. Up to now
I have been just bringing my work to a place and they have been firing
for me, but that is now working out. So, can anyone first tell me

1. can I use this kiln (it does go up to 2200 f)

2. what are firing sequences for bisque, and glaze firings?

Unfortunately I can't ask the people where I have been taking my work,
since it really isn't working out.

Thanks for any and all help.

Yes, you can use the "glass" kiln for clay. However, if it only has
elements in the lid (not a good thing to have) the temperature
distribution in the kiln will be highly non-uniform -- i.e. hot on the top
and cold on the bottom. If you make flat things it'll be no problem at all
