Ok, can I be a rabble rouser now? I'm SO tired of the list going down. The
computer gurus on this list have said repeatedly that the Listserv format is
not the most efficient way for this group to work. Why are we still using
it? I am NOT an expert on this stuff at all, but I've been told about other
formats such as a bbs format that might work better.

I do believe I recall reading that at least one person had volunteered to
buy the equipment necessary to keep the list up and running. Why was that
person not taken up on that offer? How did ACERS get ahold of Clayart in
the first place? Why do we have to wait on them? If they are unwilling to
maintain the list properly, why do we have to stay with them? Many have
said they would be willing to pay a small fee per year for membership, if it
will keep the list running smoothly. I just don't understand why no
improvements are happening after we've been talking about them for so long.
And NO, I'm not Mel-bashing. He and I have already had this conversation.

L,

Google Groups is very stable. A search organization has
to have bullet proof servers.

Only problem, I have checked ant the ClayArt name has
already been taken. I am hoping Mel or someone else reserved it for
the list.

Also, there is an archive function at Google Groups which
hide the identity of posters better than yahoo groups. I have never
recieved spam related to google groups.

I am curious. The Clayart posts I am recieving are about 10 - 20 per
day. Way down from what I used to recieve.

Any comments from you folks ???
