I must say, I am dumbfounded that so many folks reject that ideas
about beauty as a value held in common by all people. I am totally
baffled. Has art as self expression ONLY so completely overwhelmed
us?

I will move this discussion off the list. I will reply to
Tom with his quotes, but I will only post my response and will welcome
Tom's response on the blog.
