Hi Bethany,

I only get to clayart occasionally so hope this helps. I recently did a kiln
building workshop at the Mary Anderson Center for the Arts. I can say enough
about this place, the people, the studio and Norm who was running things then
(assume he still is but he was working for free so I hope they have found money
to pay him) It is a non-profit center on the grounds of the Mt. Saint Francis
Friary. 420 acres with a lake as well. It is just over the Illinois State
line from Louisville, KY. All the equipment for clay including a lovely new soda
kiln (ahem).

Norm Silva is the program director.

the Mary Anderson Center is not in Illinois. It is in Mount St. Francis,
Indiana, not too far to the northwest of Louisville, Kentucky, andnot too
many miles from the border with Ohio; ie: at least 4-5 hours drive to the
east from Southern Illinois... ;)

Helen
(who often passes through Louisville Kentucky and New Albany Indiana on her
way to Evansville Indiana, to visit her daughter.)
