Art is what gets me through the rough spots. I started with emotional
art a year ago in March. I sat down with a glump of clay, squeezed and
out came dolls I had no idea I was going to make. The dolls were about
my sister's death, a friend being diagnosed with breast cancer, and
healing. Since then, I've worked out several levels of feelings doing
pieces (both in clay and fiber) about power and perceptions of power. I
find I can think things through better when I make art.
