After all the discussion on wrist care, I feel I should post a follow up
report on my own situation.

I was suffering from really sore wrists and a bit of tingling in the hands.
I couldn't stop working. I bought drugstore wrist braces and wore them
whenever I wasn't actually in wet clay. I slept with the braces on. I
adjusted my clay more toward the soft side and absolutely did not wedge any
hard clay. I began a regime of 500mg Vitamin C, 100 mg B6, and 100 mg B12.

I've continued to throw about 4 hours every other day, but throwing isn't
the only difficult acivity. Handling heavy ware boards, carrying buckets of
water, boxing and packing....all these carry the risk of wrist strain.

In any case. After two weeks my wrists were feeling good enough so that I
quit wearing the braces. I don't have any general aching. I continue the
vitamins, I guess they help my general health anyway. I think the tingling
in my hands was due to an elbow tendonitis...I was told that carpal tunnel
tingling was felt in the finger tips.

I am back to playing tennis with no noticeable ill effects.
