xavier's warm jade green

Hello All;

My 6 month quest of the perfect green has been accomplished thanks to Brenda
Funk!

I am experiencing some strange things with the glaze and would appreciate
any advice. It is adhering nicely to some spots and thin in others.

Should I sieve my glaze again? Should I mix it more? Is it too thin? What
do you think is causing this:

Any feedback or advice would be appreciated!!!!

Hi Lisa when my pots had looked similar in the past it has been that the
glaze had settled and needed to be stirred or that I had wet my bisque and it
hadn't completely dried. Good luck

Kathy Stecker from Winter Springs Florida who loved her trip to Italy thank
you

Thanks Kathy. It seems like this glazes settles faster than most from the
replies I have been getting so I will mix it better next time for sure.

That glaze did the same thing to me. In my case it went thin and icky
where a piece was pretty close to the kiln element. I don't know if
the glaze may have already been thin there or it was the heating. I
tried applying more carefully and putting it at the center of the
shelf, and it still had a couple thin spots so I gave up on the glaze.
I found MC6G Caribbean Sea Green to be almost exactly the same color
and less persnickety.
YMMV.

I had to add epson salt to this glaze to keep it in suspension. I also use
Ron Roy's reformulated recipe which you might like.

Thank you all for your feedback. I am going to remove some of the water
and make sure it is stirred really well between each piece. If all esle
fails, I will try the revised recipe!

Best Regards and thank you again!
