As always I know nothing about c.10 reduction, so cannot help.
I do not put feet on my utilitarian ware IF it might go into a dishwasher.
Reason: I have poured water left in a foot rim all over my own personal
feet one time too many!!! (I am too Environmentally Responsible --i.e.
cheap--to dry my dishes in the dishwasher.) Water remains in footrims.
If I want a rim, it may be a sculpted one (cannot catch water) or extruded
feet, ditto. Some of my flat platters have had ridges (roll slab out on
board with 1/4" or 1/2" half round molding attached.
