Those are "special heads" designed to receive plaster or hydrocal
bats that are made in the ring mold. The #1 wheel is the best
teaching wheel ever designed by man... I've seen #1's in use in
schools for over fifty years! Around here #1 wheels are very hard to
come by and if one finds one they will sell for $ 1000.00.... Regular
retail for those wheels is $ 1250.00. Used ones are so rare they do
not lose their value...
