To all who looked and responded to my new site both on list and off =
list, THANK YOU! Your comments are helpful and valued. I hope I was able =
to correct the typo's I had. Thanks for pointing those out. I guess I =
was a bit too hasty in trying to get the site up and did not pay =
attention to the details. Or better yet I should have had some one else =
proof it for me. Regardless, thanks to all again! Mark Knott =
www.markknott.com One more thing has any one else used Google analytics? =
It is a site you can attach to your site for free that tracks visitors =
and maps where they are from around the world. Very cool, at least it is =
to me. Mark Knott

Hi Mark,

Yes I agree, Google Analytics is a very useful tool for monitoring many
aspects of your website. You might want to take a look at Google Webmaster
Tools (https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/docs/en/about.html) which is
another handy tool.

A few points if I may, hopefully I am not going over areas already covered
in other replies.
- First impression on loading (which was quite quick) is of a clean, crisp,
professional looking site that is quite appealing. I like the 'minimalist'
look of it.
- The meta description of your site in code view is incomplete, it ends with
"The forms that interest me most refl" so you may want to fix that up. There
is also a typo in the description where you have expeirences instead of
experiences.
- It will be interesting to see how/if Google includes your site in its
search index given that on the splash page there is only one link visible to
search bots, and there is very little text for the search engines to work
with. Also once you have entered and gone to the inside page (portfolio.htm)
there is virtually no content visible to search bots, just a link to the
flash movie file.
- Your blue silo jar has glaxe instead of glaze in its description.
- In the NEWS section you might want to capitalise Virginia Highland and
change neighbohood to neighborhood, or neighbourhood for us 'other English'
speakers ;-)
- In the LINKS section how about adding a link to Clayart? After all it is a
fabulous resource for ceramic artists, AND the source of all the feedback
replies for you. :-)
Please take this the way it is meant, as positive feedback aimed at helping
you to further develop what is already a very attractive site.
Let me finish on a positive, I think that your work looks fabulous, I
particularly like your oval teapots! Thanks for sharing them with us.
Good luck with your site and your work.

Cheers,
Graham
