mark's new website

Heather, and anybody else -

his descriptive ALT tags that come up in those little popup windows are probably done that way for non-sighted users - there are text-reader programs out there for them that will read the info aloud. This also makes his website fit the bill legally of being 'accessible'. There are certain organizations that are required to follow this format, and perhaps, eventually, all websites will be.

The only issues I have with Mark's site besides the popup thing you described is some misspelling of words. Palette - for the reference to color palette, he needs a space between 'glazes and', gentler, instead of 'genteler'. On the news page, highland is spelled 'hihgland', he needs a space between 'opens' and 'Saturday', a period at the end of that sentence, 60 artists, instead of '60 artist', next paragraph - 'throughMay' needs a space, too.

That is the extent of my proofreading.

Alistair -

'Colour' would be fine if Mark were a Brit, but he's not. So there. ;-)

Hey,
"Colour" works here too (in Edmonton) and we are on the same side of the
Atlantic! Regarding your website Mark you may find having a Flash website
makes it more difficult to get listed in search engines as they don't all
read your content in Flash. Site looks good though.
