Thanks,
Bobg

Are these some old books from Ceramics Monthly similar to the Tips
for Potters series that Barbara Tipton did before she moved to Canada?

Hi,

Steven Branfman's website lists 2 question and answer books published by
Ceramics Monthly.

There are some copies left, apparently, but the books are out of print.

http://thepottersshop.blogspot.com/

"Ceramics Monthly Handbooks"

Answers To Potters Questions I
Answers To Potters Questions II

(I used to have these two, but recently donated them to my local
community college's ceramics program. They are about 3&1/2 inches by
7&1/2 inches by 1/2 inch in size.)

Also:
Brush Decoration
Great Ideas For Potters I
Ceramic Projects
Underglaze Decoration
Potters Wheel Projects

I don't know the size format of these.

Another question and answer book I loved was: "Practical Solutions For
Potters" by Gill Bliss. Listed on Amazon and elsewhere.

Ceramic Monthly published something of what you are looking for,I believe.
They are pocket books with Q and A culled from the magazine over time. The
Enlish pottery mag also published one some time ago. Contact them and see if
that is what you are looking for.

Helen:
I'm not sure the books are out of print. They were available at NCECA at
ACerS booth this year. (I saw "Answers...II" sitting out for sale.)

Unfortunately, their computers are having "issues" again, and I can't get
through on their website to the "art books" section where they are listed.
Frustrating. You can try www.ceramics.org. Being Monday, perhaps they
might even have someone available to look at the computers and fix the
ongoing problems...what a thought.

Best,
Wayne Seidl
