A fellow potter has just announced that her husband has been transferred
to Philadelphia as of yesterday. We will hate to see her leave our art
center. More important than finding a house is finding a place to throw
pots. His work is SW of the city so that is where they have been looking
at houses. I have faith that this list will have some suggestions.
Thanks.

Center City has the Clay Studio at 2 and Arch.
Then there is a ceramics Supply that rents space in Port
Richmond..close in NE
Then there are several Community Colleges like Montgomery County
outside city lomits on the North side
Then there is Chester Springs farther out in the SW direction.
I love Philly, my home town.

The Community Art Center in Swarthmore. It is 1 minute off of The Blue
Route. Free parking and generous amounts of free studio time if you are
signed up for 1 of their classes. They also recently added an entire
addition just for pottery. The Clay Studio in Center City is also nice but
parking is a bitch especially if you want to go often. And if you are
going to be in the sw section of Philly then Swarthmore is your best bet.
I hope your friend will not be IN Southwest Philly. Not a good
neighborhood. Swarthmore and the suburbs are only minutes away.

Good Luck
