just getting it right - kilns for sale

I have been informed I didn't do a very good job in telling about these
kilns, so here is a second try.

Used Kilns for Sale:

Paragon SnF 24
cone 8 , 23-1/2" by 29 in. (LiteLid system - good for the ladies) Good
condition, just completely refurbished - all new elements, switches,
wiring, synchrous timer motor,
12 new bricks. Kiln sitter in good operating order. Stand.

This kiln was a school kiln that was to be discarded when it was
replaced by new equipment. I looked at it, and found it to be physically
sound, so I accepted it and took it home. As described above, all the
electrical parts were replaced This basically makes it a new kiln in
terms of it's performance and longevity Externally it has some
discoloration on the stainless steel jacket outside, but other than that
it is in good shape now. I did replace 12 bricks in it when I replaced
the elements. I have fired this kiln six time to cone 04. It has not
been fired hotter than that in my possession.. I'm asking $700 for it.
********

Duncan DK 829-1
Size is 17-1/2" wide by 29 in.deep. An 8 on a scale of one to ten.

This kin looks virtually new. I'm not sure of it's temperature rating. I
know it goes to cone six, but above that I don't know. It has three
temperature control switches, kiln sitter without timer. There are two
minor things wrong - the top switch knob is missing. and there is a one
inch chip in a top brick at the very top element groove and can be
easily be patched. . Otherwise this kiln is top notch condition. There
is no discorloring of the stainless outer jacket. That says to me it
has hardly ever been fired.

This kiln is one of those that someone bought, fired a few times, then
parked. It really does look brand new inside and out. The elements
appear to be very new. No oxidation or heavy scaling that occurs on well
used elements. No reduction of element diameter as occurs in well used
elements. I have not ever even fired this kiln myself, since I acquired
it. I had six kilns at the time so I just parked it. I will fire it
before I let it go, just to make sure it works properly. I know of no
reason that it wouldn't. I'm asking $500 for it.

Sorry, there is no kiln furniture available with either of these kilns.

I have no operating manual for these kilns, but Paragon still offers the
manuals on their kilns, and though Duncan quit building kilns some time
ago, parts are available through Paragon, I believe. There are a number
of suppliers that still have parts for the kilns. Many of these are of
generic nature and should be easy to come by.

If interested, I have a set of pictures of each kiln that I could send
to you.

Just drop me a note.
