weird melting of orton cones

About a year and a half ago I noticed that recently purchased Orton cones in
the 4-5-6 range were melting at different rates from my "old" cones. I
contacted the company which referred me to a chemist who kept saying, "Trust
me; there's nothing different in the cones." After much gnashing of teeth
on my part, I finally was referred to a friendly and informed PR person
there named Sue Love. She admitted that certain of the cones had been
reformulated and that directions to that effect had been sent to all the
distributors. It was up to the distributors, she said, to inform their
customers about the change. If you would like to continue to use the "old"
cones, ask for series B. (The reformulated cones are series A.) Since Orton
requires a $75. order, you probably will not want to order directly from
them. Just order from your distributor. Hope this info clears up the
mystery.
