Thanks to Marshall and Jean for the pugmill help. My vacuum pump
motor is marked "240 volts," so it sounds like I have a different model.
But I think I can see my way through to getting it running now. I still
wonder, though, why the vacuum pump is marked 50 Hz if it can run at 60 Hz.
The pugmill itself does say "50 Hz/60 Hz".
I agree completely with Marshall that Venco ought to get it together
re: having an owner's manual. There's no labeled diagram of the parts, and
the directions they include are inscrutable unless you're familiar with the
machine already. They don't seem real great on customer service either: a
couple of days before I posted my message on this list I faxed them the
same questions, along with my e-mail address, a fax number and a phone
number. I still haven't heard back. Good thing the machines themselves
are so reliable. I'd hate to have to worry about break-downs.
