Dianne,
Rod is refering to Salt Spring Island (note spelling).
Salt Spring Island is home to a plethora of artists many of which are
potters. It's best to take a ferry from Vancouver to Victoria (Swartz
Bay) then another ferry to Salt Spring (Fulford Harbour).
You may also want to check out Granville Island market in Vancouver (no
ferries needed!) There is a terrific ceramic artists store displaying
local artists' work. Great place to people-watch too!
Have fun,

Maid O'Mud on sun 18 nov 01

I know this is late notice, but we've decided to go to Vancouver =
thursday thru tuesday (this week!).

We've been there before, and done:
Stanley Park
Seaquarium
Whistler
Glacier by plane (scared the pants off me)
Granville Island
that swinging bridge (arrgghh! see above)
Milestones and Bellinis

We're planning on ferrying over the Vancouver Island and staying there =
sunday/monday.

Ok, so....what are the musts and what are the misses?

Also, can anyone put up a potter and her better half on sunday night =
near the ferry on Vancouver Island? I'm willing to pay in pottery

I'm also bringing about 6-8 mugs with me to trade.

Sam,
Depends what is "near" the ferry. I'm about 45 minutes from it. You are
welcome here if you'd like.
Let me know.
