vacuum cleaners and new studio

For those of us that find the larger vacuum cleaners with a HEPA filter a
little pricy I want to again share how I solved the problem in my studio.
I use a Shop Vac we purchased from Sears BUT the machine itself does not
come into the studio where it would kick up the dust with its exhaust.
Instead, my husband drilled a 2 to 2 1/2 inch hole through the studio
wall onto the patio (just a little larger than the vacuum cleaner hose)
where the machine sits. He then purchased an out door outlet cover and
fastened it at the opening. Additional vacuum cleaner hose was purchased
and fastened together and run through this opening into the studio.

This has saved a lot of mopping and very little dust is kicked up if any.
