I've become aware of a used 24" Northstar Slab Roller for sale in the
Washington, D.C. area. It comes with table, never been used, $550.00.

If you're interested e-mail me directly and I'll send you the phone number to
contact.

Thanks, Julie....

BUT DC is about 800-1000 miles from here (I'm close to Detroit).

Anyone out there know of a slabroller a *bit* closer to home? :)

I'm in the market for a used slab roller, new models are kind =
of
pricey. Do not have preference in make or model, only that slabs must be no
smaller than 24=22x 18=22. Will take care of shipping cost.

Thanks,

Kurt Vernikos

Hi Sandy
If you can't find one, Greg Lamont (I think it was him) sent me plans to
make a slab roller. My husband built it and it works great. I have a
studio that I teach beginners and have open studio for other potters so it
gets a workout. It makes some groaning noise when we roll with it but it
sure makes even and wonderful slabs. We had a welding shop make the roller
and handle for us, that was before I took a welding class. If you have a
wood and metal shop at the art center your in business. I don't have the
plans anymore but you could check the archives. Good Luck!

Best Wishes,

Hi,

My name is Marsha Koenig.
I roll alot of slabs by hand & it's starting to effect my wrists. I
am interested in buying a good used 18" or 24" slab roller - mechanism &
canvas only - I have no room for the table.
It was suggested that I might be able to find one through your
organization. I'd appreciate any help you can offer.
Thank you very much.
