used firebrick for guild kiln

updated fri 31 may 96

I am reposting this request for used firebrick. Though I referred to the
Philadelphia area in the text of my message, I could be more specific
(actually general) and say anywhere in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania
or adjacent parts of New Jersey and Delaware and if the price is right (read
free or close to it) anywhere within two hundred miles of Philadelphia, PA,
USA, Earth. I am not trying to be a smart aleck here. I am just anxious to
locate a source of free or close-to-free used firebrick, both soft and hard,
preferably useable to cone 11 or cone 12. A bunch of us in my guild are
anxious to build a group kiln and, needless to say, are perrenially broke.
We'd like to build a kiln that could be primarily fired with propane or
natural gas but could also possible be finished or fired through with wood.
Any suggestions on this design combination or experiences firing with a
combination of materials would be appreciated. Thanks again, Al Weinhardt
