A while back, someone left a web address for a great place to get used
gas kilns. I went there once and forgot to bookmark it. If that person
could please post the address again, I'd sure appreciate it. TIA

Hello all,
I teach/tech at The Interlaken School of Art in western Mass
(berkshires) I have many people ask me if there are any used equipment
dealers or dealers that have used equipment in New England or eastern
New York (wheels/kilns/puggers/mixers...) Any suggestions? We're also
interested in brick seconds. We could go anywhere in New York/PA or all
of New England for a donation or ? TIA

I'm new to the list. Is it fair (or against the rules) to solicit
amongst the readers for used equipment?

If so, I'm looking for a Slab Roller.

Clayartists:

Jim Duffy asked about used equipment recently. Some of you including
Jim may not be aware of the Craft Equipment Exchange Newsletter at
http://www.sonic.net/ceen/
This newsletter has a section for ceramics; however, they seem to have
only a few items listed when I check. Maybe we should support them a
bit more?

Used Equipment
There is an newer Art Center in Fond du Lac, WI, looking for used pottery
equipment. Does anyone have any used equiment for sale in Wisconsin or the
surrounding states? Or does anyone know who I could contact to find some =
used
equipment. Wheels, kilns, bricks, mixers, puggers. We would be interested in
looking at just about anything at this time.
Thanks for any tips.

Several days ago I posted interest in a used Brent slab roller. No luck.
I also saw a reference by someone who mentioned Pacific Ceramics, who
deals in used equipment. Does anyone know where Pacific Ceramics is? Or
other dealers in used equipment? or a web site for used ceramic supply
classifieds? I can do my own research if someone can point me in the
right direction. I have done general WWW searches to no avail. Thanks.

Pacific Ceramics is at WWW.PACCERAM.COM
They sell to the pottery industry, a lot of their equipment is industrial in
size. I was there recently and didn't see any slab rollers, you can e-mail
them with your request (I didn't). I put a request out for a slab roller about
4 months ago and didn't get any responses. I guess slab rollers are in demand.
I'm in the process of building my own. Not the preferred method but I can't
afford a new one. Good luck in your search.

Why do they put Braille on drive-through bank machines?

TWIMC;

The last info I have for Pacific Ceramic is:

Pacific Ceramic
Machinery and Equipment
P.O. Box 7842
Stockton, California 95207

209-462-3405

Mr. Ron Poelstra , pres.

They used to publish a newsprint newsletter that had equipment
inventories and advertisements from various manufacturers. Although I
believe they were geared more for industrial ceramics production they
did have some stuff that would be useful to potters. The last newletter
I got was in July 91, but I think they are still around.
