Hi all,

Would anybody who has a glaze that fits the following criteria please
send it to me?

cone 04 oxidation
frit based (not colemanite)
no lithium
no zinc
crystal clear
absolutely no crazing ever
I'd prefer also it not have neph. sy. but that's not absolute

I'm looking for something tried and true.

Thanks in advance

Eleanora

Please check the web page at
http://digitalfire.com/magic/majolica.htm

The base glaze described there would be a good start. Information is
given on how to adjust its expansion to fit your body. No one glaze
fits every body, especially at low temperature.

have a nice day.

Hi, ..I've tried a localy developed Majolica glaze, less the Zircopax, and
it works fine on an earthenware body. Glaze fit though is dependent
on the
clay body as much as the glaze;

Frit 3124 57
Frit 3134 6
Ball clay 9
EPK 3
Flint 9
Wollastonite 4

(the missing 12 is the Zircopax)
