thanks to kerry brooks and kevin caufield...
when installing a fountain pump:
cut the cord (and install a switch,after installation.)
put a knot in the cord on the inside of the pot.
goober aquarium silicone on the knot.
pull through.
place a rubber faucet washer on outside...size of cord.
goober again.
pull tight.
never have to worry about leaking. and it looks nice.
customer does not have to pull the plug each time.
do not have to move cord.
makes one look like a decent, competent crafts person.
hate leaking fountains...ruins the rug.
