textured glaze (sort of like sand paint use for ceilings)

In reference to my last post... I have noticed that a certain pottery in
Edgecomb, Maine has a nice earthy glaze which has a texture to it... you
can see it and feel it as well (not a defect). Though it is subtle, it has
a lot of appeal. How would one obtain such a textured glaze? (this is cone
10 stuff)... Marshall
